Description
Time-of-Flight Measuring principle
The time-of-flight technology has been successfully established on the market for many years. Nimbus 3D is now making this technology available for the first time for the Raspberry Pi. With time-of-flight technology, the distance between objects and the camera is measured via the light propagation time using modulated light pulses.
Applications
The compact design opens up a multitude of new applications.
From people counting to gesture control to surveying tasks, there is no limit to the imagination.
Open source software
Together with open-source software and the connection to the Raspberry Pi Linux kernel, Nimbus 3D is a ready out-of-the-box solution. The included sample code for python, javascript and C completes the plug-and-play experience.
And best of all: the complete software is open-source! Join the community at github.com and contribute your part to the development of nimbus 3D.
