Wat is BBC micro:bit?

De BBC micro:bit is een compacte computer die gebruikers leert hoe software en hardware samenwerken. De micro:bit heeft een ARM Cortex-M0 processor, een LED lichtdisplay met 25 LED's, twee programmeerbare toetsen, sensoren, en vele in- en uitvoerfuncties die, wanneer ze geprogrammeerd worden, interactie met jou en je omgeving mogelijk maken.

De micro: bit werd gemaakt om jonge leerlingen te inspireren belangstelling te krijgen voor het programmeren van computersoftware en het maken van nieuwe dingen. Hij werd ontwikkeld om samen te werken met andere systemen, zoals de Raspberry Pi, en om de traditie van de BBC op het gebied van educatief computergebruik voort te zetten met de BBC Micro.
