Elektor Digital Raspberry Pi Full Stack (E-book)
A comprehensive course that will teach you how to build a modern IoT application This book will take you on a whirlwind tour of full-stack web application development using Raspberry Pi. You will learn how to build an application from the ground up. You will gain experience and know-how of technologies including: The Linux operating system and command line. The Python programming language. The Raspberry Pi General Purpose Input Output pins (GPIOs). The Nginx web server. Flask Python web application microframework. JQuery and CSS for creating user interfaces. Dealing with time zones. Creating charts with Plotly and Google Charts. Data logging with Google Sheet. Developing applets with IFTTT. Securing your application with SSL. Receiving SMS notifications to your phone using Twilio. This book will also teach you how to set up a remote wireless Arduino sensor node and collect data from it. Your Raspberry Pi web application will be able to process Arduino node data in the same way it processes data from its onboard sensor. Raspberry Pi Full Stack will teach you many skills essential to building Web and Internet of Things applications. The application you will build in this project is a platform that you can extend upon. This is just the start of what you can do with a Raspberry Pi and the software and hardware components that you will learn about. This book is supported by the author via a dedicated discussion space.

Elektor Digital Design your own Embedded Linux Control Centre (E-book)
This book is all about building your own DIY home control system. It presents two innovative ways to assemble such a system: By recycling old PC hardware – possibly extending the life of an old PC, or by using Raspberry Pi. In both cases, the main system outlined in this book will consist of a computer platform, a wireless mains outlet, a controller and a USB webcam – All linked together by Linux. By using the Raspberry Pi in conjunction with Arduino (used as an advanced I/O system board), it is possible to construct a small, compact, embedded control system offering enhanced capacity for USB integration, webcams, thermal monitoring and communication with the outside world. The experience required to undertake the projects within this book are minimal exposure to PC hardware and software, the ability to surf the internet, burn a CD-ROM and assemble a small PCB.

Elektor Zener Diode Tester
The Elektor Zener Diode Tester is essentially a constant-current source that can be switched in steps from 1 to 50 mA. It can be used to test Z-diodes up to a maximum of 54 V. Thanks to a 60-V step-up converter, the device can be powered by the usual 5 to 12 V. The principle of this tester is straightforward. A Z-diode or other DUT (device under test, such as an LED) is biased by an adjustable current source. The voltage across the DUT can be measured with a multimeter. The voltage of most (small) Z-diodes is specified at a current of 5 mA. Depending on the application, the voltage at other currents can also be of interest. That is why six current settings are available: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 mA. LEDs are often specified at a current of 20 mA. What can be tested is: Whether a Z-diode is defective (short circuit or high impedance). Whether a Z-diode exhibits the correct Z-voltage. How a Z-voltage changes with different currents. What exact voltage is present at an integrated voltage reference. Whether LEDs in a series chain differ in brightness (hence the 20 mA current). What the current gain is for different base currents in (power) transistors. The kit contains all parts listed in the bill of materials including PCB and enclosure. Elektor Bundles Practical Electronics Crash Course (Bundle)
Getting started in electronics is not as difficult as you may think. With this bundle (book + kit of parts), you can explore and learn the most important electrical and electronics engineering concepts in a fun way by doing various experiments. You will learn electronics practically without getting into complex technical jargon and long calculations. As a result, you will be creating your own projects soon. This kit contains the components required to build most of the detailed examples of the book on a breadboard and try them out for real. Elektor Digital Raspberry Pi ontdekken in 45 Elektronica projecten (2e versie) | E-book
Alle software is gratis.
