This new PIC microcontroller multiprogrammer connects to your PC via USB to provide you with one of the most powerful microcontroller programming and debugging platforms in the world. The board can be used with Assembly, C or Flowcode and most third party compilers and a free utility - 'Mloader' is available as a free download to facilitate this. The board will program a wide range of 8, 14, 18, 20, 28 and 40 pin PIC microcontroller devices from the 12, 16 and 18 series PIC range, using the programming software provided, and presents all 5 ports on D-type sockets for E-blocks connection. The board takes power from an external power supply or from the USB port. Microchip ICD2 and PICkit2 sockets are provide an alternative reprogramming and debugging techniques. A powerful 40 pin PIC16F1937 device is shipped with the new multiprogrammer.
Version 9 of the Multiprogrammer is compatible with Matrix's Ghost technology. Ghost provides advanced In-Circuit-Debug and In-Circuit-Test features when used with Flowcode version 6.1 or higher. The host programming device on the Multiprogrammer board monitors all the input output pins on the PIC target. This I/O data is buffered in the on-board memory and then sent to the PC via USB. Ghost takes this data and allows it to be displayed in the Flowcode softscope, in the form of a voltage vs time trace, or the Flowcode console, in the form of scrolling interpreted data on a text box. Ghost can also display debug and test data in the form of dials, sliders, or custom-made Flowcode components.
This board is compatible with Flowcode 5 and 6. These users will need to alter settings to replace the PPP utility with Mloader.
Flowcode 6.0.X users can still use this board, they will need to replace files at /tools/mloader with the newer mLoader files available below.
This device is a standard WinUSB device and should install automatically without the need for separate drivers.
