Details

There are two reasons to torture accumulators with short, high current pulses. One reason is pulse desulfation which tries to prevent sulfation in lead-acid batteries. Indeed, a current pulse of about 100 A during 100 microseconds applied to a healthy battery every 30 seconds is said to prevent reversible sulfation. But high currents also allow for measuring the State of Charge (SOC) of an accumulator and/or battery. With this project you can do both.
