This page contains the ordering conditions for the Elektor SMT Oven. All matters not arising from, or in connection with, the conditions described here are covered by the Terms of Business deposited by Elektor International Media bv at the Companies House The Netherlands, Maastricht department, file number 3429926. In case of queries or complaints, please contact Elektor Customer Services. Invoices should be settled within 14 days.
Order safely at Elektor
Although the Elektor SMT Oven is of Chinese manufacture and similar products are offered on the Internet by a number of Chinese, UK and US companies as well as individual traders, ordering from Elektor has a number of distinct advantages.
a. Elektor offers a sales price without hidden costs like VAT (sur-)charges, customs clearance costs and import duties* -- these costs easily add up to several hundred pounds when importing similarly priced electrical appliances from China.
b. No delays in customs and/or person product registration by national customs and excise.*
c. Payment, invoicing and order processing by Elektor, i.e. by a company with a registered address employing and active customer services desk with a published telephone number and email address.
d. Service and product support supplied by Elektor International Media B.V
e. The SMT Oven carries all relevant CE and RoHS approvals (tests commissioned by Elektor).
f. Electrical Appliance Waste Deposit covered by Elektor under EC regulations.
g. Mans voltage 230 VAC, so no surprises with 110 VAC equipment produced for USA or Japan and retailed into Europe.
h. The SMT oven comes with an English manual produced by Elektor.
* not applicable to customers in countries outside the European Community.
Postage & packing charges
Postage and packing within the UK: ₤ 40.00 each, using DHL courier delivery
Postage and packing within Europe: € 95.00 each, using DHL courier delivery.
Postage and packing charges for destinations outside the EU: as advised by Elektor customer services.
It is possible to collect the oven SMT oven in person at Elektor Logistics in Susteren, the Netherlands, but only if payment in advance has been approved and settled. It is not possible to pay for the oven in any way when at Elektor Logistics.
Supply times
Elektor aims to supply items as quickly as possible. Depending on stock and workload, the target is to ship items within five days from effective receipt of payment. Initial supplies of the SMT oven will commence early November 2008.

The Elektor SMT oven can only be supplied against payment in advance. After ordering the oven you will receive an invoice which allows you to settle the total amount due, stating your customer and order number. Please transfer full amount payable to Elektor International Media, account no 40209520 with ABN-AMRO Bank, London. IBAN: GB35 ABNA 4050 3040 2095 20, BIC: ABNAGB2L. Further payment options may be indicated on the invoice.
