g-Force on LEDs (060297-71)

An accelerometer is a device measuring and indicating force exerted on a moving body due to acceleration (+g) or deceleration (–g). The present project can measure forces up to 2 g in two planes: forward/reverse and left/right. The readout is comprised of coloured LEDs with the highest value of g being indicated by red LEDs. The instrument is battery powered and suitable for fi tting in a vehicle where it will tell you and your passengers (like kids on the back seat) a lot about your driving habits.
