This E-block contains an 8k byte SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) compatible serial memory and D/A converter chip. The board can be used to provide additional memory or D/A features into an E-block system. This board is ideal for allowing investigation of communication between electronic devices using the standard Serial Peripheral Interface communications protocol. The board is also well suited for simple audio applications. On-board links select which pins of the D-type connector (and hence the host microcontroller) are used and the board is compatible with a wide range of microcontrollers. Flowcode macros for driving the memory and the D/A are available. A clear protective acrylic cover for this E-block is also available.
