Worldwide semiconductor market

The American Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reported worldwide semiconductor sales of 22.7 billion US$ in August 2008. This is 5.5% more than in August 2007. Compared to the previous month the sales rose by 2.4 percent. For the first 8 months of this year the industrial association reported sales of 170.2 billion US$, 4.5% more than in the same period 2007.
