The XPort Pro from Lantronix is a production-ready server which operates on the Linux or Evolution OS operating systems. In addition to being the world’s smallest Linux networking server, XPort Pro also features a significant increase in on-board memory of 8MB SDRAM/16MB Flash, compared to the 256kB of current-generation XPort devices, and ultra-low current of 150mA at 10Mbps to minimise power consumption.
XPort Pro is a production-ready module which eliminates the need for complex connectivity design. Its high-speed 32-bit processor allows advanced applications to be deployed directly onto edge devices. The combination of the Linux operating system, with integrated IPv6 and extensive features libraries, extensive on-board memory and advanced processing, provide unlimited flexibility to customise XPort Pro to a wide range of M2M applications. XPort Pro is footprint compatible with existing XPort networking servers.
Network security is provided by a range of data encryption/authentication options and enhanced by Lantronix’ patent-pending VIP (virtual IP) Access technology. This provides seamless integration with ManageLinx which enables secure access to firewall-protected equipment for remote monitoring and control.
