Elektor is not just about publishing articles but also offering hands-on assistance to those of you with a fear of using those tiny components called SMDs (or SMA, SMT, whatever). Besides our successful SMD Reflow Oven we also have available two tools you’ll find invaluable in the preparation of boards for reflow soldering: a stencil machine and a pick & place tool. While both tools are described in some detail in the January 2010 edition of Elektor, it’s probably more useful to you to see them in action and that’s why videos have been shot in our lab (Thanks Chris and Patrick) and posted on the Elektor’s YouTube channel.
