The DEVA development platform from Cambridge Consultants is a comprehensive platform for the rapid development of Bluetooth products and mobile accessories. It enables rapid prototyping and testing of accessory products before committing to final product hardware.
The DEVA platform utilises the BlueCore-5-Multimedia device from Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) and can be used to develop a wide variety of Bluetooth products. These can range from mobile phone accessories and headsets, including devices that work with the Apple iPhone, to wireless payment systems, industrial remote control devices, sports activity monitors, or telehealth sensors that can be compliant with the Continua Health Alliance guidelines.
The DEVA platform is designed to work with existing Cambridge Consultants software tools and libraries, including their generic Bluetooth tool, xIDE for Interface Express, their Continua Compliant wireless health platform, VENA, and their Internet service accessory platform, CatchNet. DEVA can also be used with CSR’s BlueLab development suite.
The DEVA platform includes a 128 ´ 128 monochrome LCD display, along with three user interface buttons and LEDs to support the development of interactive user interfaces for the product. With USB, serial and MicroSD interfaces for data integration, broad GPIO, and both digital and analogue stereo audio ports, it can support the development of complex products that have the lowest possible cost in their final manufactured form. Being battery powered, it provides a completely wireless experience.
