Atmel endorses Elektor book ‘C Programming for Embedded Microcontrollers’

Atmel’s SAM family of ARM-based microcontrollers and embedded microprocessors are designed for ease of programming. Each member of the family is supported by a low-cost, plug-in-and-play Evaluation Kit that enables application developers, students or hobbyists to immediately get started on a project. An extensive library of demos, device drivers and application code modules makes programming even easier.

And now, Elektor’s latest book C Programming for Embedded Microcontrollers by Warwick Smith takes it a step further. Using only free or open-source software and tools, the book provides a step-by-step introduction to programming in the industry-standard language on the industry-standard architecture. Example programs and exercises can be downloaded from the web, making it easy and fun to progress. No previous experience of C or of MCU architecture is necessary.

This book, now incorporated in Atmel's third party product range, opens the door to the rapidly-expanding world of ARM-based applications, where Atmel’s SAM family is a market leader.
