Advanced Cerametrics Inc. (ACI) has released a line of next generation vibration energy harvesting power modules designed to capture mechanical vibration energy from the environment to provide perpetual electric power for microcircuit applications.
ACI's innovative Harvestor-III energy harvesting devices are designed to provide continuous voltage output to replace or augment battery power in many applications where wired power is unavailable, inconvenient, or costly. The energy harvesting product combines the company's patented piezoelectric fibre composites (PFCs), with what is claimed to be new best-in-class EH1000 energy management circuitry to power sensors, wireless transponder, and other low-power applications.
With performance improvements including faster power availability and higher power levels, Harvestor-III power modules are claimed to set a new performance standard for efficiently harvesting ambient mechanical energy. The Harvestor-III line offers a selection of models and configurations to provide perpetual energy from different ambient vibration environments, and for a host of applications and power needs.
