Choosing a suitable microcontroller and supporting ICs is an essential step at the beginning of many a project. In this part of our course we will examine the circuit diagram of our board and look more closely at the most important components. We will then boot it for the first time and study what happens. We shall see how easy Linux can be!In the first part of this series we looked at the history of the free GNU/Linux operating system and its most important elements. We now want to look at our hardware in detail: the Elektor Linux board.
