At our editorial offices we receive quite a few submissions describing ideas and designs for electronic circuits from readers and authors. All submissions are looked at and receive a cursory assessment as to their usefulness and correct operation, as part of an initial sorting procedure, before putting some serious effort into it. This also applied to a submission for sorting the best (audio) capacitor from a collection of capacitors. At first glance the described method showed much promise.
