The article 'Blinded by the Light?' in last the February 2010 edition showed that LED lamps didn’t exactly present a clean load to the AC grid and in fact created quite a bit of pollution and disturbance. A number of readers gave us some interesting feedback to this article. Using a a Fluke Scopemeter it was discoved that the behaviour of such mains-powered devices can be closely monitored and analysed.
