S-video Converter

The converter we are suggesting building, very simple since it only uses two transistor, lets you convert any S-video signal into a composite signal and so will perhaps enable you to give a new lease of life to your old CRT television.

Components

Resistors
R1,R2,R11 = 75Ohm
R3,R7,R8 = 470Ohm
R4 = 560Ohm
R5 = 27kOhm
R6 = 10kOhm
R9,R10 = 150Ohm
Capacitors
C1, C3 = 100nF
C2, C4, C8 = 470µF 25V
C5 = 10nF
C6 = 10µF 25V
C7 = 220nF
Semiconductors
D1 = 1N4004
T1 = 2N2222A
T2 = 2N2907A
IC1 = 7805
Miscellaneous
4-pin mini DIN connector
Cinch connector (yellow)
DC supply connector
