Freezer Trick

There are a number of explanations to why putting devices in the freezer often repairs them. Firstly, cooling PCBs down to minus 20 degrees Celsius or so can often repair dry joints, because of the effects of expansion/contraction due to temperature change. Although the wholesome effect of a night in the freezer may be temporary, it may help you track down rare or otherwise elusive errors in circuits.
