The amount of electronics in industrial and domestic areas increases worldwide, but on the other hand fossil resources, our basic sources of energy, are limited and unequally distributed. Renewable energies get increasing momentum and, as a result, global concerns about energy shortages are driving regulations to save power and achieve higher efficiency.
