E-blocks: more than 100 mpg from a Toyota Prius
The interesting thing about the Prius is that it can run for a limited period as an electrical vehicle (EV). Fine, but with the existing NiMH battery pack, the electric motor can take the car only about one mile at less than 31 mph. By the addition of a large Li-Ion pack, the fuel consumption of the Prius can be reduced from 60 mpg to 100 mpg, a massive cost saving! This article describes how it was achieved using E-blocks and Flowcode as a control system.
