Free, Open, Licentious…

New ways of publishing and distributing artistic or technical creations, and contributing to collective projects or works have appeared. When these activities take place within a framework of openness and exchange, we talk about Open Innovation. This is the case with projects like GNU, Linux, Mozilla, Apache, The GIMP, MySQL, Amarok, OpenOffice, YAMPP, or more recently OpenMoko – all referred to as Open Source software or electronic designs.
