Flowcourse: Alarm System
The first two articles in this series show how the microcontroller is capable of ‘playing all alone’ – the only interaction with the outside world is the emission of light by the LEDs. To do something more useful, the microcontroller needs to react to conditions or events in its environment, which robotics engineers call stimuli (singular: a stimulus).
