I have discovered that the Profiler software and hardware fully implements the 8 bit digital I/O commands (@DI; and @DO

, but of course there is no extermal access to these signals and Colidrive doesn't support them.
To add external access is easy if you'e handy with a soldering iron. On the side of the electronics box next to the serial connector there is a push out for a 25way 'D' connector and next to this on the main driver board is a place for a 26 way header. This header includes the 16 I/O lines.
This is no use with the supplied software, but I am writing my own Pofiler driver which will enable use of this I/O facility for spindle/vacuum control and also for auotomatic setting of the Z axis zero using a couple of microswitches which is rather a pain to do maually.
