Good day, all millers here.

Important information.

On the Dutch Elektor Profiler forum (sticky at the top) is a message with a NEW freeware milling program (and several extra additions more !) for the Profiler with (till now) 2,5 D interface card.

It's made by the Dutch Profiler miller Piet van der Wal.

The program linguage is English.

mhutch,

As I don't posses a 3D-board, I can't develop a program or extend the present program. There are now Profidoit version (a complete rewrite) for Windows, Linus Debian and Ubuntu written in Freepascal.
However I have to add the new features to the manual yet.

Hi Piet,

Isn't there enough info on the colinbus site to get you started, I can test it for you

mhutch,

I'll get the pdf and have a look. But it is like the Hairy Bikers cooking without the right ingredients it does not taste.

Mark,

The 3D-controller uses completely different commands then used in my program. The 3D is based on G-code translation.
Profidoit can read simple G-code, but uses the 2D commands to execute (interpolation of 3D figures etc in the software in the pc).

Sorry, I'll keep it simple, so no 3D-program.

Hello Piet,

Sorry that it is too much work to create a 3d version, I really liked being able to define the hights of the corners of the workpeice, but I suppose the aluminium plate I replaced th mdf base fixed the need to do that sort of setup.
