Hmm, this raises a few questions.
Here is one of them:
Will the API to the controller be totally open, or will the users be locked to Colidrive?

API seems to be open:

Already on the Dutch Elektor site and also published in the latest Dutch Elektor::
Profiler Pro to upgrade to a new Z-axis and/or new 3D-Controller and the possibility to purchase an engraving head.

Sorry, in Dutch

Now also on the english site:
http://www.elektor.com/profilerpro/

So, what does everybody think of the pricing of these upgrades?
The new Z-axis is nearly 24% of the cost of a new machine.
and the 3D controller board is almost 22.5% of the cost of a new machine.
Is it worth it? Any experiences?

Only promises!
I've got this famous 3D controller but again this controller is some kind of basic version as coliliner.
So this controller has only 8 GPO (not 16) it hasn't any GPI, ref switch inputs, Jtag header, debug header......
Yes I'm very sorry that I didn't make some researches about Profiler and Colinbus before I purchase Profiler Pro.
In Attachment are picture of mine famous PB3D controller and manual what I've got from Juraj about GPIO connections. I have edited third page of this manual because pin descriptions are wrong!
