I am in the process of building the Active Mini Sub Woofer that was featured in, I think, the 1990 edition of the magazine.
I am having trouble locating one of the componets required on the Amplifier Board. The Component is the Opamp OP16. Nobody here in South Africa has this component and I have tried on the internet. I would like to purchase 2 (one as a spare)
If anyone can help me with this I would very grateful.

Just had a quick search for this, its been obsolete a long time! No record of it with any suppliers, even obsolete ones. Ever googled an obsolete chip? You usually get scores of results from companies claiming to be able to find them for you, but OP16 doesn't bring up any!
I reckon you'll have to choose a newer type to use in its place.
