Hello, someone knows how to center in a fast and easy for a single-sided PCB in which the tracks and pad are already done and I just want to drill pad. Referring to the drawing of the drills shown in colidriver and that has to match perfectly with the position of drill bit.

I tried to mirror the line and it is not useful for this operation, I have also tried to place materials on the option that has the program but not much use.

Also in the show Soucase option that displays the data file the program does not make sense

The manuals do not explain how to do this operation, always refer to the creation of complete pcb: tracks, pad and drills.

A greeting and thanks

Hi Francisco,

just a suggestion:

1. Load your source-file in colidrive and place it where you want to mill or drill, don't forget to "ground".

2. Search for a pad in upper right corner and center the cursor using high zoom-value. Move Profiler to this point.

3. Position your pcb in a suitable way, that you can drill a single hole into the corresponding pad. Be sure, it's the right one!
Drill must be deep enought (some mm into mdf-plate)

4. Put a suitable pin into this hole, so you can rotate your pcb around this first point.

5. Search for a second pad in the lower left corner of your file and move Profiler to this point.

6. Now you can turn your pcb until the second hole can be drilled.

7. Fix your pcb with some sticky tape.

Your pcb is now synchronized with your file.

Excuse if there are some linguistic defects, English isn't my native language too.

Greetings

Peter

Hi, thanks for the help, I have another question, once center benchmarks for the rest of the drill will fit perfectly into place and aligners? because my first point there is no problem, but the second reference point is always slightly out of line with reference to the drawing colidrive. I checked the film and pcb are fine and with reference to measures coliliner.

And no reference either to the second point with respect to colidriver, all other holes are also slightly off-line.

All contributions are welcome.

Thanks again

the second reference point is always slightly out of line

... happens, if the film is made by laserprinter or copymachine.
These units must be calibrated before.

In this case inkjet.

... make a simple test, if not already done:

Program a big rectangle (20 x 28 cm) with AutoCad or something similar and draw it with your inkjet. I had some differences!

That's not what I tried but I have done several tests and precision of the machine appears to work well in terms of positioning. Proves what you say to check the program data to the printer and the machine.

The deviation is 0.5mm and with reference to the graphic colidriver.

I give you something more: the precision used in the conversion of the Excellon coliliner is 3.3

Suggestions proved her too.

You were working well from the start?

Thanks and regards

3 units and 3 decimal.= 3.3

EJ. 3.3 =100.368
2.3= 10.368

Thanks, I did understand now.

My coliliner had 2.4 preadjusted both excellon and gerber.
