Hi guys
Really frustrating this ... documentation making assumptions again ... either of my knowledge or of preinstall requirements.
I have a working TBLCF (pre built from Elektor).
I have downloaded all the packages. This is part of the problem ... there are so many it's hard sometimes to know what is required from where.
I have attached the TBLCF over USB (from XP PC). It is detected and I get it to install the JB16 Bootloader driver.
With the next step, you need to run tblcf_BT.
Unfortuntately nothing specifies any recommended extract directories for the zip files. I installed off c:\tblcf to aid running from the command line.
When I run, I get :
C:\Projects>tblcf_bt -B tblcf.abs.s19
Turbo BDM Light ColdFire Bootloader ver 1.0. Compiled on May 23 2006, 08:33:37.
S-rec: "D:\Documents\projects\bdm_cf\sw.jb16\tblcf_firmware\bin\tblcf.abs"
found 0 HC08JB16 ICP device(s)
Not enough devices connected to work with device #0
I find this odd because everything points to the abs file have the d:\ path above hardcoded. I don't have a d drive ... which would appear to render the utilities useless to me.
Can someone explain in mickey mouse terms exactly what I install where and what is going wrong please ?
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Do you downloaded the zip file called "tblcf_v10" ? All you need is inside, explained in the pdf file "manual_v14".

Hi Ludo
Yes ... I did. It has multiple zip files inside it. There are no instructions detailing specific directories for these to be extracted to ... hence the problem.
When ever I run the tblcf_BT as mentioned in the start to this thread it fails with the message given. That seemed to suggest the path was hardcoded into the abs file (i.e. off d:\). I only have a c: drive and therefore can't replicate the path reported.
Have you installed this yourself ? If so ... can you tell me the steps. The manual is very long and clearly makes assumptions.
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Sorry for the delay.
I installed, a few month ago, the TBLCF myself without problem.
Today, if i try to reprogramming it, i have the same error as you.
I think your TBLCF is not blank. So you should try to put your TBLCF back to the ICP mode and test an upgrading. You can read the process at chapter #3.4 of manual_v14.pdf.
Let me know the result.
Regards
Ludo
