These terms and conditions apply to the "Scratch and Win" campaign, hereafter to be referred to as the "Campaign", organised by Elektor International Media BV, hereafter to be referred to as the "Organizer".

General
1. The Campaign runs from 12 August through 30 September 2010.
2. Participation in the Campaign is free of charge.
3. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
4. Employees of the Organizer or third parties involved, are excluded from participating in the Campaign.
5. By participating in the Campaign, Participants agree to be bound by all terms and conditions applying to this Campaign.

Participation
Every copy of the Elektor September 2010 issue contains a scratch card. Each scratch card has a unique code. The code can be used to play the game. The scratch card states where the game can be played. To win, Participants must answer a question and log in. Anyone who answers the question and logs in on the Elektor website can participate in the Campaign, and will hereafter be referred to as "Participant".

Prizes
1. For the prizes in this lottery, refer to www.elektor.com/win

2. Prizes will be drawn fairly by a notary appointed by Elektor International Media BV.
3. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
4. Prizes cannot be exchanged for a different prize.
5. The winners will be notified personally by the Organizer by e-mail or by letter. The winners will also be announced both on the Elektor website and in the magazine.
6. The prizes are personal and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash. If a prize is refused or not awarded for some other reason, it will fall to the Organizer.
7. Participants who wish to claim their prizes, must provide their full details (First name, Last name, Address, Postcode, City, Age and Telephone number) to the Organizer.

Use of Data
1. Each Participant must register on the Elektor website in order to be able to participate in the Campaign. Details to be provided include First name, Last name, E-mail address, Gender and a password of choice. If a Participant wins a prize, additional details will need to be provided.
2. By submitting an e-mail address and participating in the Campaign, Participants agree to Elektor International Media BV sending the Participants newsletters. These newsletters provide Participants with information and special offers. Every e-mail newsletter allows Participants to cancel their subscription to it immediately.
3. Participant guarantees that all details provided during the Campaign are correct, up to date and complete.

Rights of the Organizer
1. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify and/or refuse participation to any Participant who acts in any way contrary to the present terms and conditions of this Campaign, or otherwise acts unlawfully against the Organizer or third parties.
2. The Organizer also reserves the right to terminate, interrupt or change the Campaign, at its sole discretion and without giving prior notice, and/or to change the terms and conditions an/or prizes, if circumstances require such, without being in any way liable for damages towards the Participant.
3. The results of this Campaign are final. If, for whatever reason, a conflict arises between a Participant and the Organizer, the judgment of the latter will be binding.

Liability
1. The Organizer and/or any of the third parties involved shall not be liable for damages, whether direct or indirect, ensuing from or in any way related to the Campaign.
2. In particular, the Organizer and/or any of the third parties involved shall not be liable in any way, insofar as legally permitted, for:
* any additional expenses that the winner may make in connection with participation in the Campaign and/or by acceptance or usage of the prize;
* any damages, whether direct or indirect, caused by, or in any way related to, the prize awarded;
* any deficiencies in the prize awarded;
* any damages, whether direct or indirect, ensuing from, or in any other way related to changes or termination of the Campaign.

Miscellaneous
1. By participating in the Campaign, Participants who win a prize grant the Organizer the right to use their personal details (name) for promotional purposes.
2. For any questions and/or comments relating to this Campaign, please send an e-mail to info@elektor.com.
3. If one or more of the terms and conditions herein is declared null and void, the Organizer shall replace it by one that resembles the purpose and intention of the term or condition that has been declared null and void as much as possible and that is not void or nullifiable.
4. These terms and conditions are subject to Dutch law. Any conflict arising from them or from the Campaign, shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
