VISIT CHINA WITH ELEKTOR
Study trip planned: 7-16 November 2009!
Including:
- A visit to the largest electronics trade fair in China
- Company visits
- Shopping in electronics department stores
- Culture: the Great Wall and more...
We will visit the China Electronics Fair in Shanghai, a professional industrial electronics fair with an area of no less than 60,000 m². Here you can see (among other things) the latest developments in high-end components. The China Electronics Fair is the most important trade fair in China and the only fair that enjoys the full support of China’s Ministry of Information Industry and Ministry of Commerce.
We will also pay at least one visit to the well-known ‘electronics high street’ in Shanghai. As the name suggests, this street is entirely dedicated to electronics shops, each vying to be the largest. Buildings with four or five floors stuffed with passive components, microcontrollers, breadboards, assembled modules, LEDs in all colours, graphic displays, and much more. A true paradise for every electronics enthusiast! You can find everything imaginable here.
In addition, a variety of interesting company visits are on the itinerary (with a tour of the production department). We are also organising a business conference where you can obtain a wealth of information about doing business (and how not to do business) in China. We put all the do’s and don’ts in a tidy list for you.
Naturally, there’s also time for culture. We will visit the Great Wall, The Temple of Heaven, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen square and the Shanghai TV tower.
On the closing day of the Elektor study trip the participants will go on a cycling tour through Beijing!
Programme subject to change.

Reviews from international participants of the China study trip (November 2008):
- "Believe it or not, we are opening the Shanghai sourcing office as a result of the Elektor Study trip to China." (South Africa)
- "Wir sind schon eine Zeit zurück von der Elektor-Chinareise, aber wir schwärmen immer noch von dem abwechslungsreichen Programm, von den besuchten Firmen und vor allen Dingen von der wirklich phantastischen Organisation." (Germany)
- "The other members of the Group where an exquisite mix of European (and South African) talented geniuses! We instantly thought that the "best" part of the trip was to discover incredible colleagues in electronics innovation, and this was such a unique meeting! We just can't stop chatting about electronics." (France)
- "We received four serious leads/business opportunities! It was amazing how many new people we have met in such a short time. We did not only met new Chinese contacts which can be important for us in the near future, but we also made some very important contacts within the multi-country group". (The Netherlands)
